Happy New Year to each of you!  I pray that it will be filled with much love, joy, happiness, and success!

This New Year is starting out to be a wonderful and very eventful one for myself!  I recently returned from Los Angeles auditioning for Fullerton Civic Light Opera’s production of Yeston and Kopit’s “Phantom.”  This “Phantom” is different from the one written by Andrew Lloyd Weber that we know and love, but it is also a very good show.  They called me back for Phillipe, the Count de Chandon (the ‘Raoul’ character), and I just found out that I got the job!  So, this week we’re busy getting ready to move down to Los Angeles for about 6 weeks.  In March we’ll be moving back to Utah to perform various concerts promoting the official release of my debut solo album, “Prayer” – which is very exciting!  What I’ll be doing after that depends on how my upcoming auditions go – so I’ll keep you posted.

CeranAid Benefit Concert, January 18th, 7:30 pm, at the Barn at Thanksgiving Point, in Lehi, Utah
  • Cost is $15.00.  For tickets please visit: www.likenit.com
  • Myself, along with a number of other performing/recording artists, will be singing at a benefit concert to help the Ceran family who lost three family members in a car accident over Christmas weekend.  There is also a benefit CD for sale at the concert and through the above website that will have “Savior, Redeemer of My Soul” from the “Prayer” album on it and numerous other songs donated by some great LDS artists.  All proceeds go towards helping the Ceran family.  I had the privilege of performing with the Ceran family in “Savior of the World.”  They are a beautiful and wonderful family.  Please come and show your support!  You can also contribute by visiting www.CeranFamilyFund.com

Marriage Coalition Concert, February 9th, 8 pm, at the Eccles Center, Dixie College, in St. George, Utah
  • Cost is $30.00/couple for dinner, concert and workshops, or $10.00/couple for concert and workshops only.  For tickets please email Patsy Lamb at patsylamb@juno.com
  • My wife, Rachel, and I will be performing songs that celebrate love in marriage and family.

“Phantom” (by Maury Yeston and Arthur Kopit), Fullerton Civic Light Opera, February 16th – March 4th, various days and times, at the Plummer Auditorium in Fullerton, California
  • Cost is $25.00 – $52.00.  For tickets please visit: www.fclo.com
  • I will be performing the lead role of Phillipe, the Count de Chandon.  I’m very excited to be in this production!

“Prayer” Pre-release Concert, March 10th, 7:30 pm, at the Green River High School auditorium in Green River, UT
  • Cost and ticket information are not yet available.
  • This is a special concert in my hometown of Green River, UT.  It’s very meaningful for me to perform in the place where it all started.

“Prayer” Album Release Day Concert, March 13th, 8 pm, at the SCERA Showhouse II in Orem, Utah
  • Cost is $10.00/adult and $8.00/child, in addition to online or phone purchase fees.  For tickets please call 801-225-ARTS or visit: www.scera.org
  • This concert is very significant as we celebrate the official release of my debut solo album, “Prayer.”  Performing at the SCERA Shell for the first time when I was a teenager was an important part of building my career, so it seems appropriate that we perform this concert here in this beautiful theatre.
Nauvoo Concert, March 15th, 7 pm, at the Joseph Smith Academy Auditorium in Nauvoo, Illinois
  • Cost is FREE.  Seating is on a first-come-first-seated basis.
  • Rachel and I will be singing some inspirational Broadway favorites.  Nauvoo has become a very special home away from home for my family and I.  We’re grateful to be able to perform a concert for the community we have come to love so much!

Nauvoo Women’s Conference, March 15-17, at the Nauvoo Inn and Suites in Nauvoo, Illinois
  • Cost is $30.00 for registration.  To register please visit: www.nauvoonet.com
  • Rachel and I will sing at various lectures, and portray Emma and Joseph Smith in the re-enactment of the organization of the Relief Society at the Red Brick Store.  This is our second year participating in the Women’s Conference and the Relief Society organization re-enactment.  We love it!

(All events are listed under the “NEW!” heading – because we just got started  :-) )

My debut solo album, “Prayer,” is currently available for purchase only online at my website: www.dallynvailbayles.com

To those of you who have already purchased my album, “Prayer” – thank you!  I hope that the messages and music on the album will be a blessing in your life.  I’m very interested to receive your feedback and response to the album.  It’s important for me to know your feelings about the music, what your favorite songs are, any thoughts you have for improvement, as well as ideas for a second album.

To facilitate this, we have posted an album survey on my website.  I would greatly appreciate it if you would take a few seconds and provide your comments about the album.  To take this survey, please visit www.dallynvailbayles.com and click on the “‘Prayer’ Album Survey” link.

One of my favorite scriptures is 2 Nephi 4:34-35.  Part of it is quoted on the back of the “Prayer” album.  One lesson I’ve had to learn over and over again, in light of my crazy career, is that trusting in the Lord and following His promptings is the best and only way to live life.  “O Lord, I have trusted in thee and I will trust in thee forever.”

Thanks again for your support!  May God bless!
