It’s been a very fun and busy summer for us with lots of travel back and forth between Utah and NYC!  Here's the recap: I had an amazing experience singing in the Days of ’47 Pops Concert at Abravanel Hall. I also had a great time doing a Broadway style concert at Founders Park in Centerville along with my good friend, Ross Boothe, at the piano, and his lovely and talented wife, Michelle, joining me in singing a few numbers.  It was also an honor to attend the LDSBA convention awards banquet and receive their “Best New Artist” award.  I am very grateful to the LDS Booksellers for their generosity and support. I'm especially grateful and offer my sincere thanks to all of you who were able to attend these concerts.

Just a reminder that there’s one more concert on my agenda this coming month: the “Prayer” concert at the Covey Center in Provo.  This should be a very exciting and inspirational performance. We will be professionally filming the concert, so please come out and fill up the audience! Here is all the information:
  • When: Friday, September 5 at 7:30PM
  • Where: Covey Center for the Arts, 425 W. Center St., Provo, UT.
  • Tickets: $12 adults, $10 for Students and Seniors. Ticket office is open Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or call 801-852-7007.
  • What: A highly inspirational performance that ties in all of the songs on the “Prayer” CD. This will be a repeat of the “Prayer” CD release concert I did in May 2007. So if you missed it the first time or would like to see it again, here's your chance!

I'm excited to share a few media interviews I've had recently. One was a great chat I had with my friend Steven Kapp Perry about the "Prayer" CD and my life as an actor for a podcast called the Cricket and Seagull (you can listen by clicking here). Two others were with newspapers: the Deseret News and The Davis County Clipper (click either link to read the articles). Sorry to say, there are a few inaccuracies in the reporting (namely, I finished my degree after touring with Les Mis; I worked previously at a talent agency, but am currently working at a law firm, the New Amsterdam Theatre and am also teaching voice; the performance of Children of Eden I participated in out here was a concert presentation for the New York industry, not a full scale production; and my "Prayer" concert will feature a song from "Joseph: King of Dreams" not "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat"), but they got most of the information correct. Enjoy!

As a reminder, you can also find all my music on yourldsneighborhood.com in the "jukebox" section. "Prayer" is also available at deseretbook.com, iTunes, CD Baby, and Amazon.com. Please visit these sites and share your reviews if you haven't already done so.

Last of all, if you haven't visited my website lately, you might enjoy taking a peek at what my lavishly paid web designer (my wife) has been up to. She has been working on giving my website a makeover, and will be updating all the pages to match as time allows. You're already getting a little preview with this newsletter, as it matches what we've come to call the "scrapbook" theme. We hope you enjoy it!

I hope the start of autumn finds you all happy and healthy and blessed!

Sincerely,

Dallyn Vail Bayles
